There was a minor upset whenDiamond Valley Eagles lost to Thunder in Greensborough 82-97 on Saturday. Keilor T. outrebounded Diamond V.E. 51-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Keilor T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Deng Dut (193, college: DBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists for the winning side and guard Daniel Foster (198, college: Nevada) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Jock Perry (216-1997, college: UC Riverside) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Sudanese Ngor Manyang (201-1993) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Diamond V.E. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games.
