Regular Season Round 2: McKinnon C. - Sherbrooke S. 73-63

Date: April 5, 2025
Very important is a road loss of Suns against Cougars on Saturday night. Visiting Suns were defeated by Cougars in McKinnon 73-63. Guard Emily Suckling (168, college: California, PA) notched 23 points to lead the effort and American guard Alisha Lewis (170-2001, college: Georgia) supported her with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Cougars' coach Nathan Geer allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds by Melissa Prior did not help to save the game for Sherbrooke S.. American guard Zoe Zwerling (173-1996, college: Northeastern) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the guests. Cougars will play against Wyndham D. in Werribee in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suns will play at home against Warrnambool and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
