Regular Season Round 2: Sydney C. - Illawarra H. 2 77-84

Quite upsetting was Sydney C.'s home defeat in a game versus Illawarra H. 2 84-77. The best player for the winners was point guard Kobe McDowell-White (183-2004) who scored 32 points and 5 assists. The former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and center Johnny Crnogorac (216-1995, college: UTRGV) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Illawarra H. 2 will meet Newcastle F. in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sydney C. will play against HKBA Spiders in Hornsby and hope to win that game.
