Regular Season Round 2: Bendigo B. - NW Tasmania 81-90

Date: April 6, 2025
Not a big story in a game in Bendigo where Braves were defeated by NW Tasmania Thunder 90-81 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyler Harris (201-2001, college: Richmond) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international guard Kye Savage (186-2005) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Harris attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Four NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. American swingman Charles Matthews (198-1996, college: Michigan) produced 24 points and his fellow American import swingman Justin Johnson (198-1999, college: UTRGV) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Braves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NW Tasmania Thunder will meet at home Kilsyth C. in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Braves will play against Geelong U. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
