Regular Season Round 2: Bendigo LB - Launceston T. 83-79

Very predictable result when Lady Braves won against Tornadoes in Bendigo 83-79 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bendigo forced 20 Launceston T. turnovers. Forward Cassidy McLean (178-1999) notched 21 points to lead the effort and American guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) supported her with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by New Zealand guard Bailey Flavell (177-2007) did not help to save the game for Launceston T.. Ava Mcdonald added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Five Bendigo and four Launceston T. players scored in double figures. Lady Braves will meet Geelong U. on the road in the next round. Tornadoes will play against Kilsyth and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
