No shocking result in a game in Geelong where United (4-0) won against Lady Braves (2-2) 79-61 on Saturday. Geelong U. forced 36 Bendigo turnovers. Strangely Bendigo outrebounded Geelong U. 38-25 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jazmin Shelley (175-2000, college: Nebraska) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Gemma Potter (182-2002) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Casey Samuels (183-1994) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American forward TaiSheka Porchia (185, college: Troy) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
