There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedCobras (3-3) defeated higher ranked Ringwood Hawks (2-2) in Kilsyth 86-80 on Thursday. The winners were led by swingman Corey Jeffs (203-1994, college: Winona St.) who scored that evening 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Adrian Tomada (-1995) supported him with 20 points and 5 assists. Four Cobras players scored in double figures. Cobras' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Jonathan Lawton (188-1996, college: FSC) did not help to save the game for Ringwood . Naturalized Maltese forward Joshua Tomasi (208-2000, college: St.Cloud St.) added 15 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Kilsyth C. moved-up to eighth place. Loser Ringwood Hawks dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 11 other teams.
