There was a minor upset in Greensborough where 14th rankedRingwood Hawks (2-4) were defeated by sixteenth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (3-4) 79-75 on Friday. The best player for the winners was center Jock Perry (216-1997, college: UC Riverside) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds. Naturalized British swingman Adam Thoseby (197-1991, college: GSW) chipped in 18 points. Thoseby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Naturalized Maltese forward Joshua Tomasi (208-2000, college: St.Cloud St.) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Jonathan Lawton (188-1996, college: FSC) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Ringwood players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Diamond V.E. moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with NW Tasmania. Ringwood lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
