There was no surprise in Cheltenham where 19th rankedSabres (1-6) were edged by ninth ranked Cobras (4-3) 90-89 on Saturday. Strangely Sandringham S. outrebounded Kilsyth C. 42-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Corey Jeffs (203-1994, college: Winona St.) who scored 21 points and 6 assists. American forward Dillon Stith (200-1992, college: St.Vincent) chipped in 23 points. Naturalized South Sudanese forward Malith Machar (198-1999, college: Midland CC) produced 29 points and naturalized American guard CJ Asuncion-Byrd (194-1996, college: LeMoyne) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sabres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kilsyth C. moved-up to fifth place. Sandringham S. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with six games lost.
