There was a surprise result when tenth rankedCrusaders (4-4) defeated 4th placed Mustangs (5-3) in Maitland 91-83 on Sunday. Cent.Coast C. had a 37-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cent.Coast C. made 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Garric Young who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Lino Manhom (213-1998, college: UTPB) accounted for 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side. Forward Billy Parsons (198-2001) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Christian Little (188-1998, college: Regis Univ.) added 16 points respectively for Maitland in the defeat. Four Cent.Coast C. and five Maitland players scored in double figures. Mustangs' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cent.Coast C. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Mustangs dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams.
