There was no surprise when 10th rankedWanneroo (2-6) was outleveled by fifth ranked Magic (5-4) in Mandurah 106-73 on Thursday. Mandurah dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Wanneroo 's 30 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Mandurah forced 19 Joondalup W. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Claire Jacobs (183-2001, college: Nevada) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Grace Berger (183-1999, college: Indiana) supported her with 15 points and 5 assists. Five Magic players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Maddie Sutton (180-1998, college: Tusculum) did not help to save the game for Joondalup W. . American-Filipino guard Stefanie Berberabe (160-2000, college: Westmont) added 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Mandurah went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Inner WB. Loser Wanneroo dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
