There was a minor upset in Sutherland where second-rankedSharks (6-3) were defeated by fifth ranked Sydney City Comets (6-3) 87-78 on Saturday. Sydney C. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks 's 28. The best player for the winners was guard Biwali Bayles (185-2002, college: Hawaii, agency: Sport Avenir) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sydney City Comets players scored in double figures. Naturalized South Sudanese forward Kouat Noi (201-1997, college: TCU) produced 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and guard Lochlan Hutchison (188-1999) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Sharks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sydney City Comets have a solid three-game winning streak. Sydney C. moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Sutherland .
