Everything went according to plan when ninth rankedFrankston Blues (6-4) defeated 12th ranked Cavaliers (4-6) in Seaford 70-64 on Saturday. Frankston B. outrebounded Casey 42-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and forward Louise Brown (189-1995, college: Tennessee) supported her with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by New Zealand guard Lauryn Hippolite (174-2000) did not help to save the game for Casey . New Zealand forward Esra McGoldrick (188-1999, college: NC State) added 17 points for the guests. Cavaliers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frankston B. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sandringham S. Casey lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost.
