No shocking result in a game in Loganholme where third rankedThunder (4-1) smashed 7th ranked Flames (3-3) 78-59 on Friday. Logan T. outrebounded Townsville F. 45-31 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Logan T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. French guard Amandine Toi (178-1998, college: Virginia) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and swingman Mikhaela Cann (177-1994) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Samantha Bowman (188, college: CWU) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and New Zealand guard Tayla Dalton (175-2001, college: Gonzaga) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunder have a solid series of four victories in a row. Logan T. maintains third place with 4-1 record having eleven points less than leader W.Adelaide B. Loser Flames dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
