Very expected game in Loganholme where 11th rankedThunder (1-4) was edged by third ranked Townsville Heat (3-3) 86-84 on Friday. Townsville H. made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Naturalized South Sudanese guard Kuany Kuany (201-1994, college: Chaminade) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and guard Ethan Betts (188-1998, college: Umpqua CC) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Zac Triplett (196-2001, college: Portland) with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Callum Dalton (206-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Townsville H. went down to fifth position due to points difference. Logan T. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost.
