There was a surprise result in Kalamunda where thirteenth rankedSuns (1-7) beat higher ranked Hawks (3-4) 82-71 on Saturday. American forward Karly Murphy (185-1998, college: Colorado St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners and her fellow American import forward Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant (187-2001, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Suns players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Amy Jacobs (183-2001, college: La Salle) with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jayda Clark (183-2005) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Suns maintains thirteenth place with 1-7 record. It was Perry Lakes H. 's third loss in a row. They keep the eighth position with four games lost.
