Regular Season Round 10: Nunawading S. - Frankston B. 59-71

Date: May 31, 2025
Rather expected game when 11th ranked Spectres (6-7) lost to eighth ranked Frankston Blues (8-5) in East Burwood 59-71 on Saturday. Frankston B. made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Forward Louise Brown (189-1995, college: Tennessee) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) to lead the effort and guard Emily Monaghan (175, college: S.Nazarene) supported her with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by American power forward Laina Snyder (185-1995, college: Ashland) did not help to save the game for Nunawading S.. Forward Shaneice Swain (175-2003) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Spectres' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frankston B. moved-up to seventh place. Loser Spectres keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
