There was a small surprise when seventh rankedFlames (4-6) beat 4th ranked Rockets (6-4) in Marden 89-76 on Saturday. Norwood F. made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 N.Adelaide R. turnovers. American forward KeShunan James (184-1994, college: Murray St.) notched 29 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Amanda Paschal (172-1996, college: Kentucky) supported her with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Paschal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists by the former international guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) did not help to save the game for N.Adelaide R. . Jordyn Freer added 25 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Norwood F. maintains seventh position with 4-6 record.
