Very important is a home loss of third rankedCougars (7-4) against fifth ranked Warriors (6-5) on Saturday night. Host Cougars were defeated by Warriors in McKinnon 100-87 . Pakenham looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Cody Fredrickson (188-2000, college: Ottawa, KS) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Ned Carr chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Warriors players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Lithuanian swingman Remo Simankevicius (198-1996, college: SNHU) who recorded 28 points and 5 rebounds and forward Shaquille Maharaj (196-1997, college: Camosun) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Cougars' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Pakenham maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Loser Cougars dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
