Important game to mention about took place in Bulleen. Sixth rankedCougars (7-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Boomers (8-4) 75-72 on Sunday evening. McKinnon C. made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Bulleen turnovers. Strangely Bulleen outrebounded McKinnon C. 48-33 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Emily Lytle (180-1997, college: Virginia Tech) who led her team to a victory with 25 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Her fellow American import guard Alisha Lewis (170-2001, college: Georgia) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Cougars' coach Nathan Geer allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Maddison Zugna (185, college: SDCC) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Tahlia Leeson added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bulleen. Four Bulleen players scored in double figures. McKinnon C. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sunbury J. Bulleen at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
