Regular Season Round 11: BA CoE - Canberra N. 74-77

There was an upset in Canberra where 4th placed BA CoE (10-4) was edged by twelfth ranked Nationals (5-7) 77-74 on Thursday. Canberra N. forced 19 BA CoE turnovers. The best player for the winners was Carlie McAlister who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Abby Solway (165-2003, college: S.Georgia Tech) chipped in 16 points. Forward Sitaya Fagan (189-2008) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Isabel Smith added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Canberra N. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sydney C. Loser BA CoE keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Canberra N. will meet Penrith (#12) on the road in the next round. BA CoE will play against Illawarra H. (#14) in Wollongong and hope to secure a win.
