Not a big story in a game in Runcorn where 12th rankedSouth West Metro Pirates (1-4) were defeated by seventh ranked Force (4-3) 96-91 on Saturday. Ipswich F. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Kane Bishop (192-1997) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Force's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Canadian-Serbian point guard Dragan Stajic (188-2000, college: Ottawa) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jarred Bairstow (201-1992, college: UCO) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Five SW Metro P. players scored in double figures. Ipswich F. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Northside W. SW Metro P. lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with four games lost.
