No shocking result in a game in Northbridge where third rankedRedbacks (10-3) defeated 13th ranked Suns (1-10) 97-83 on Friday. Perth R. made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game, while Kalamunda ES only scored seventeen points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Anneli Maley (185-1998, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists and American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) who added 25 points during the contest. Five Redbacks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Karly Murphy (185-1998, college: Colorado St.) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant (187-2001, college: Angelo St.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Suns' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redbacks have an impressive five-game winning streak. Perth R. maintains third position with 10-3 record having just eight point less than leader Sturt S. Kalamunda ES lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with ten games lost.
