Regular Season Round 12: Albury LB - Norths B. 70-63

Date: June 14, 2025
There was a small surprise in Albury where fifth ranked Lady Bandits (9-4) won against second-best North Bears (11-2) 70-63 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Riley Lupfer (175, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Caitlyn Jones (175-2001, college: Idaho) who added 28 points during the contest. Lady Bandits' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Ruby Perkins (173-2007) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Carla Pitman (180-2004) scored 6 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Albury maintains fifth position with 9-4 record. Loser North Bears keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Manly Warr. SE. Albury will meet at home Sydney C. (#8) in the next round. Norths B. will play against the league's leader Newcastle F. (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
