Not a big story in a game in Greensborough where 10th rankedSabres (7-7) were outplayed by fifth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (10-4) 101-68 on Saturday. Diamond VE dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sabres 's 36. Diamond VE forced 26 Sandringham S. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Stephanie Reid (168-1996, college: Buffalo) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 assists and 4 steals and center Lara McSpadden (193-1999) who added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Isis Lopes (180, college: UTEP) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Klara Wischer (190-1991, college: San Diego) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Diamond Valley Eagles have a solid three-game winning streak. Diamond VE moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dandenong R. Loser Sabres dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost.
