Another exciting game was played in Seaford between sixth ranked Waverley F. and 7th ranked Frankston Blues where Waverley F. (10-5) beat Frankston Blues (9-6) on the road 78-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Frankston Blues. Falcons players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for guard Rebecca Cole (178-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Carley Ernst (196-1994) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and Spanish guard Marta Hermida (180-1997, college: Boise St.) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Frankston Blues. Waverley F. maintains sixth position with 10-5 record. Frankston B. at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Waverley F. will play against Kilsyth (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Frankston B. will play against Ballarat M. (#13) in Wendouree and hopes to get back on the winning track.
