Regular Season Round 12: Melbourne T. - Hobart C. 79-91

Date: June 15, 2025
Rather predictable result in Melbourne where fourth ranked Chargers (10-5) beat 8th ranked Tigers (8-6) 91-79 on Sunday. Hobart C. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jacob Richards (200-2001) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Will Cranston-Lown (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Tom Wilson (195-1997, college: SMU) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Harrison Froling (210-1998, college: Marquette) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Chargers have an impressive five-game winning streak. Hobart C. moved-up to second place, which they share with Mt.Gambier. Loser Tigers dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Ballarat M.. Hobart C. will meet at home league's leader Knox R. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Melbourne T. will play against Mt.Gambier (#3) in Mt Gambier and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
