Not a big story in a game when 17th rankedDiamond Valley Eagles (4-11) lost to fifteenth ranked United (6-10) in Geelong 94-110 on Saturday. Geelong U. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Diamond Valley Eagles 's 48 and made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Geelong U. outrebounded Diamond V.E. 48-29 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Geelong U. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Forward Tristan Forsyth (208-1998, college: CBU, agency: Dominion Sports Group) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and American guard Demarcus Gatlin (193-1992, college: SHSU) accounted for 21 points and 8 assists. Center Jock Perry (216-1997, college: UC Riverside) came up with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized British swingman Adam Thoseby (197-1991, college: GSW) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Diamond V.E. in the defeat. Five Geelong U. and four Diamond V.E. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Geelong U. went down to sixteenth position due to points difference. Diamond V.E. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighteenth place with 11 games lost.
