Regular Season Round 13: Albury LB - Sydney C. 103-86

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Lady Bandits (10-4) beat 10th ranked Comets (6-8) in Albury 103-86 on Saturday. Albury looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Caitlyn Jones (175-2001, college: Idaho) nailed a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals for the winning side and Canadian forward Brynn Masikewich (190-2001, college: DePaul) accounted for 25 points and 19 rebounds. Four Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. Swingman Abigail Curtin (185-1997, college: Denver) came up with 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and forward Piper Anderson (180-2003) added 22 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Sydney C. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Albury moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Willetton T. Loser Comets dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Bankstown B. and Hornsby S.. Albury will meet at home Hornsby S. (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sydney C. will play against Sutherland and hope to secure a win.
