Very expected game when 17th rankedTornadoes (3-13) were smashed by third ranked Knox Raiders (14-3) in Launceston 86-61 on Saturday. Knox R. outrebounded Launceston T. 47-27 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Alicia Froling (190-1996, college: SMU) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Rachel Bell (178, college: Vanderbilt) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. American forward Megan Mullings (185-1992, college: Alaska-Anch., agency: Crossover Management) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Sarah ONeill added 14 points respectively for Launceston T. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Knox Raiders have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Knox R. moved-up to second place. Loser Tornadoes dropped to the eighteenth position with 13 games lost.
