There was no surprise when 15th rankedBandits (3-11) lost to third ranked Sydney City Comets (11-3) in Albury 82-100 on Saturday. Sydney C. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Bandits 's 34. Naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) nailed a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Biwali Bayles (185-2002, college: Hawaii) accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Four Sydney City Comets players scored in double figures. Forward Matthew Gray (203-1999) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand point guard Francis Wineera-Mulvihill (184-1999) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Albury W.B. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Sydney City Comets . Sydney C. moved-up to second place, which they share with Illawarra H. 2. Loser Bandits keeps the fifteenth position with 11 games lost.
