There was an upset when 4th placedCavaliers (9-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Ringwood Hawks (8-8) in Cranbourne 93-109 on Saturday. Ringwood made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The former international guard Tanner Krebs (198-1996, college: SMC) nailed 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and American guard Jonathan Lawton (188-1996, college: FSC) accounted for 30 points and 8 rebounds. Lawton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Kenyan forward Preston Bungei (198-1995, college: Norfolk St.) came up with 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ben Waller (195-2006) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Casey in the defeat. Four Casey players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ringwood Hawks . They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Waverley F. and Frankston B. Loser Cavaliers keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Melbourne T. and Ballarat M..
