Seventh-rankedFlames (6-8) gave a tough game to second ranked Eagles (11-3) in Marden. The visitors from Goodwood managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81 . However their fans expected much easier game. Forestville E. forced 20 Norwood F. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) notched 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Jess Simons supported her with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists by American guard Amanda Paschal (172-1996, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Norwood F. . Her fellow American import forward KeShunan James (184-1994, college: Murray St.) added 25 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Flames' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eagles have a solid four-game winning streak. Forestville E. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with W.Adelaide B. and Sturt S. Norwood F. at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost.
