Not a big story in a game in Melbourne where 14th ranked Braves (8-11) were rolled over by third ranked Tigers (11-6) 85-66 on Sunday. Melbourne T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Bendigo's players. The best player for the winners was forward Jack Purchase (203-1995, college: Hawaii) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Tom Wilson (195-1997, college: SMU) chipped in 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Lual Diing (205-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Charles Matthews (198-1996, college: Michigan) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Tigers have an impressive five-game winning streak. Melbourne T. moved-up to second place, which they share with Mt.Gambier. Bendigo lost third consecutive game.
