It was a key game for the top position in the league. Warwick S. made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Warwick S. made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Elijah Pepper (193-2001, college: UC Davis) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. American forward Todd Withers (202-1996, college: Queens, NC) accounted for 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Guard Damien Scott (192-1992) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Tana Kopa (198-2002, college: Canisius) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Willetton T. in the defeat. Four Warwick S. and five Willetton T. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Warwick S. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Geraldton B. and BA CoE. Loser Tigers dropped to the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Canberra B. and Illawarra H. 2.
