There was a minor upset in Launceston where 14th rankedMount Gambier Pioneers (6-14) were defeated by seventeenth ranked Tornadoes (4-16) 72-60 on Saturday. Launceston T. outrebounded Mt Gambier 50-37 including 37 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. Tornadoes' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Isabella Brancatisano (170-1995) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Catherine MacGregor (181-2002) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Launceston T. maintains seventeenth place with 4-16 record. Mt Gambier lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost.
