Not a big story in a game in Hamilton Hill where 12th rankedSlammers (2-14) were outplayed by leader Cougars (17-0) 129-67 on Saturday. Cockburn dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Slammers ' 38 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Cockburn outrebounded SW Slammers 55-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cockburn looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by SW Slammers ' players. It was a great evening for Danish swingman Sarah Mortensen (185-1997, college: Villanova) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Stephanie Gorman (183-2000, college: San Diego) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Cougars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Mykea Gray (163-1998, college: Miami, FL) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Zaya Black (175-2003) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventeenth consecutive win for Cougars . Cockburn maintains first place with 17-0 record. SW Slammers lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Eastern M. and C.Districts L..
