Not a big story in a game in Wendouree where 15th ranked Lady Cobras (5-15) were edged by thirteenth ranked Ballarat Miners (7-13) 79-77 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Georgia Woolley (183-2002, college: Syracuse) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Kaleena Lewis helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ballarat Miners players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Abby OConnor with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Nikita Young scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Ballarat M. maintains thirteenth place with 7-13 record. Kilsyth lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Hobart C.. Ballarat M. will meet at home higher ranked Dandenong R. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kilsyth will play against Casey (#11) in Cranbourne and hope to secure a win.
