Regular Season Round 15: Sutherland S. - Albury LB 95-86

There was an upset in Sutherland where 4th placed Lady Bandits (13-5) were defeated by eleventh ranked Sharks (7-12) 95-86 on Sunday. Sutherland made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: SMC) who led her team to a victory scoring 48 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) helped adding 18 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was American guard Riley Lupfer (175, college: Boise St.) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian forward Brynn Masikewich (190-2001, college: DePaul) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Despite that victory Sutherland went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Loser Lady Bandits dropped to the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Perth R.. Sutherland will meet Illawarra H. (#14) in the next round. Albury will play against Penrith (#15) and hope to secure a win.
