The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedPhoenix (8-4) in Cotton Tree on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by ninth ranked South West Metro Pirates (6-6) 102-78 . SW Metro P. shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for Canadian-Serbian point guard Dragan Stajic (188-2000, college: Ottawa) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Naturalized South Sudanese guard Junior Madut (195-1997, college: Hawaii) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Maltese power forward Nelson Kahler (206-1994, college: CSU-Pueblo, agency: BIG) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Elias Cato (206, college: Cent Arkansas) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for SC Phoenix. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. South West Metro Pirates have a solid series of four victories in a row. SW Metro P. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with SD Spartans. SC Phoenix at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost.
