There was a minor upset in Heathmont where 7th rankedBoomers (12-8) were crushed by ninth ranked Hawks (11-10) 69-43 on Tuesday. Ringwood outrebounded Melbourne 48-37 including 35 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American center Camille Hobby (190, college: Illinois) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Nyaduoth Lok helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Hawks' coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Indiah Bowyer (171-2003) with 11 points and 6 rebounds and center Abbey Sutherland (193-2000, college: HCU) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hawks . Ringwood maintains ninth place with 11-10 record. Loser Boomers keeps the seventh position with eight games lost.
