There was no surprise when 15th rankedThunder (7-13) was edged by third ranked Sabres (13-7) in Cheltenham 70-69 on Tuesday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sandringham S. made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized South Sudanese forward Malith Machar (198-1999, college: Midland CC) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Ben Ayre (188-1995, college: Newman) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Guard Daniel Foster (198-2001, college: Nevada) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American center Dante Thompson (201-1993, college: GBC, agency: Starting 5) added 6 points and 17 rebounds respectively for Keilor T. in the defeat.
