Very expected game in Mackay where 9th rankedThunder (5-7) was defeated by third ranked Meteors (8-5) 105-97 on Friday. Mackay made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mackay made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized South Sudanese power forward Emmanuel Malou (206-1993, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international swingman Makuach Maluach (200-1998, college: N.Mexico) who added 22 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. Meteors' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Zac Triplett (196-2001, college: Portland) responded with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Callum Dalton (206-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Mackay and five Logan T. players scored in double figures. Mackay moved-up to second place. Logan T. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost.
