There was an upset when much higher rankedSenators (13-3) were outscored by thirteenth ranked Suns (2-14) in Kalamunda 86-66 on Saturday. Kalamunda ES forced 19 Warwick S. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Kalamunda ES looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant (187-2001, college: Angelo St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Karly Murphy (185-1998, college: Colorado St.) supported her with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by forward Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (191-1998, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Warwick S. . Guard Emma Gandini (172-1994) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Senators' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kalamunda ES moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Senators keeps the second position with three games lost.
