We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth rankedRollers (1-11) defeated 11th ranked Capitals (3-8) in Gold Coast 99-89 on Saturday. Gold Coast R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by Juna Umezawa who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and New Zealand guard Tera Reed (183-1998, college: USC) supported her with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Rollers players scored in double figures. Even 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds by Ashley Arlen did not help to save the game for Brisbane C. . Alleah Hanson added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rollers maintains twelfth position with 1-11 record. It was Brisbane C. 's fourth loss in a row. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost.
