Very expected game when 9th rankedMavericks (2-15) were smashed by fourth ranked Rockets (12-5) in Mt. Barker 82-48 on Saturday. N.Adelaide R. held Eastern M. to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.1 percent accuracy of the winners. N.Adelaide R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Eastern M. 's players. The winners were led by forward Mollie McKendrick (183-1993, college: Boston U.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Rockets' coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points by Bella Schaftenaar did not help to save the game for Eastern M. . Daisy Hocking added 4 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Rockets have a solid three-game winning streak. N.Adelaide R. maintains fourth position with 12-5 record. Eastern M. lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with SW Slammers.
