Not a big story in a game in Cheltenham where 19th rankedNW Tasmania Thunder (5-16) was edged by third ranked Sabres (13-7) 100-98 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Sandringham S. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to NW Tasmania Thunder 's 40. They outrebounded NW Tasmania 51-31 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ben Ayre (188-1995, college: Newman) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and the former international forward Fabijan Krslovic (203-1995, college: Montana) who added 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Lachlan Barker (188-1996) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international guard Kye Savage (186-2005) scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. NW Tasmania Thunder's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sabres have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Sandringham S. maintains third position with 13-7 record having just thirteen point less than leader BA CoE. NW Tasmania lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth place with 16 games lost.
