Everything could happen in Crows Nest at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedNorths Bears and 9th ranked Crusaders had identical 9-8 record. This time Norths Bears used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Terrigal 104-74 on Saturday night. Norths B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Cent.Coast C. 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Matthew Wacher (180-2003) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Hunter Goodrick (201-2000, college: CBU) who added 14 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Norths Bears' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Luke Cassidy (-2000) responded with 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and American forward Garric Young scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Norths B. (10-8) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bankstown B. and Manly Warr. Loser Crusaders dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Newcastle F. and Kalamunda ES.
