Everything went according to plan when second rankedPioneers (16-6) outplayed 13th ranked Blues (10-12) in Mt Gambier 105-68 on Friday. Mt.Gambier looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international guard Alexander Mudronja (196-1999, college: SMC) nailed 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American guard Joe Palmer (193-2001, college: Colorado St., agency: Warren Sports International) accounted for 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Michael Harris (193-1999) came up with 18 points and guard Kingsley Box (196-2001, college: SUU) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Frankston B. in the defeat. Five Mt.Gambier and four Frankston B. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pioneers have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Mt.Gambier maintains second place with 16-6 record having just sixteen point less than leader Illawarra H. 2. Frankston B. lost third consecutive game.
