There was a small surprise when sixth rankedNorths Bears (12-8) crushed 4th placed Sydney City Comets (13-7) in Crows Nest 83-64 on Friday. The former international forward Hunter Goodrick (201-2000, college: CBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Austin Patterson (190-2002, college: Montana) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds. Norths Bears' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks and point guard Anthony Mundine (167-2005) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Sydney C. in the defeat. Norths Bears have a solid series of three victories in a row. Norths B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bankstown B. Sydney C. lost fourth consecutive game.
